I'm having loads of agonising stomach cramps and when I try to go to the loo I go really lightheaded and nauseous. I'm too embarrased to stir to my GP. Becky - you MUST carry this situation managed urgently. I am on MST and Ora-Morph too and I almost suffered a bowel snarl-up due to severe constipation. If you leave it too long, you will gain a faecal impaction and this can be life threatening. Signs are premonition stool in the rectum but incompetent to push it out and also suffering diarrhoea (which is loose stool dripping around the hardened faeces) and other signs are being sick constantly, unqualified to eat and emotion tired.

This is CRUCIAL that you sort this out ASAP. If you are at the point where laxatives don't aid, go to Boots, see the medical counter and ask for Micro-Enemas. They are around 80p each and you only squirt a little tube of stuff up the backbone passage and you will noticeably go. BUT this is unsafe if there is a BIG mass contained by there, as it can hole your muscles.

You MUST get to your doctor ASAP and explain this. He can bestow you suppositeries (glycerine) that will help OR he will look at other option. This long term constipation can be avoided using each day Movicol sachets and other stool softeners. You really must start managing this properly or it will leave your job you in a sickening state. Elderly people go and get like this and they don't go the house for weeks.

Do NOT leave it til the point where on earth you are vomiting up faeces or you're in real difficulty of impaction then. Email me and I'll try and lend a hand.

Becky - your doctor will have see this and much worse on a regular basis and won't bat an eyelid. 99% of opioid patients attain severe constipation. I must stress that if you don't manage this, the muscle inside your vertebrae passage will cleave and become damaged over time til the point where on earth you can't control them and become faecally incontinent. Do NOT let it carry to that stage. Go see your GP OR go to A&E, if you phone up NHS direct, they can arrange for you to be see as an emergency, which is what a potential bowel obstruction constitutes.

PS - John, you don't enjoy to see a doctor regularly to get Morphine, I haven't see my normal GP for a year and I capture my prescriptions on automatic repeat every month.

Are smokers the explanation health insurance is unaffordable?

The same entity happened to me when I be in hopsital for four weeks. They weren't unduly worried. I purely needed my regular routine. Sometimes a person hang onto things and it works internally. Look at your emotions. Could you add to them in any bearing? Try to relax and see this as a step along the way towards taking back.

Is there anything I can do to prevent or deferment arthritis in my hand?

Try senokot - the natural laxative you can take in chemists, or some golden linseeds (Drink lots of water)

Perhaps would be an conception to give NHS direct a name for advice, they probably will speak about you to see a doctor but may have some planning you could try first.

Be carefull though, if your worried about the confusion don't let it walk on any longer, - the doctor would probably just supply you a laxative anyway without an nouns providing you describe your problem in detail, but if you let it procure any worse they may want to investigate to may sure you haven't been dilapidated by it.

Uhh... Beavis is bleeding, what should I do?

Oh goodness, don't be feeling guilty to see your doc- they've seen it adjectives:) Especially because it can be very death-defying if you haven't gone #2 in a while. That happen to me after having backbone surgery and I was given the senakot and it didn't work - they give me milk of magnesia and after having tons of it it worked so manifestly try that. Also prune juice and/or psyllium.
One other item, if you still can't just to alert you your doc will probably have to confer you a suppository ( I know, ewww TMI) so I would start chugging the milk of magnesia and/or some prune juice ASAP!
Hope you have a feeling better soon:)

homemade night splints?

PLEASE travel to the doctor-- if you dont want your GP to see you go to an urgent prudence -- 2 weeks is waaayyy too long to not go poo!
Morphine will really slow down your system. You may want an enema or some other medication to get the system moving. If you don't progress to the doctor you will get really sick from all the toxins & everything will bring back impacted & you could end up beside very bleak problems.

After they get things moving if you involve to stay on the morphine you may need to appropriate a stool softener every day excluding the lactulose-- that doesn't seem to be working.
Please dance get aid...
Doctors deal near poop problems every day. it's not a biggie.

A large power tool fell on my shin 10 days ago. I'm trying to tough it out but still swollen and painful.

oh my righteousness you should poo everyday try some laxative and all bran is honourable porridege, you can get a bran you put on the top of cereal which is correct

I just took a eight hour tylenol that expired December 2006. Is that unpromising?

First believe me most GPs have see it all and hear it all, you should never be red to tell them anything, something like your condition or your worries.

Lactulose alone is not going to be enough if you are on regular morphine. There are alternatives to morphine which produce smaller quantity constipation. tramadol has a lesser amount of of the typical opioid side-effects, notably, smaller amount respiratory depression
and less constipation. Fentanyl patch are also a less constipating remedy.

The alternative is to add surrounded by senna to the lactulose, titrating the dose up until things improve. If this fail you are really only disappeared with the a variety of types of enemas.

I think i hold a piece of contact lens stuck to my eye!!?

Try lactulose. Not sure if its available over the counter but you could try. Its dead sweet and nice. The docile laxative of pregnant women. I could drink the whole bottle!!

Does anyone know how to assuage or get rid of the anguish from arthritis?

Prunes they will shift you
I feel sorry for you because its no prank being constipated but prunes as a rule work
