Medical question, what make your arns and legs go num, as if they are asleep as it be?

Several times I woke up and both my arms and legs were asleep,
I worked them and surrounded by 10 minutes they were hindmost to normal, but what cause that to happen?

There could be several reason for this with your arms it could be poor circulation or if you've ever done plentifully of typing or clerical work it could stem from nerve wound in your hand due to corpal tunal syndrome.
