Blood pressure medication .. ?

I have be taking Natrilix 2.5mg ( Indapamide Hemihydrate ) for years to control BP. The GP raised them some years ago to two tablets each day when the BP went up a tad. He even suggested three tablets day by day when my BP became unstable during a crisis. But this week, on a repeat prescription, my exotic GP has stated that one tablet a daytime is all explicitly necessary as anything beyond that solitary raises the diuretic bustle and has no secondary effect on BP. Anyone 'in the know' please comment on this ... appreciate sensible answers one and only please!

Your new GP is undeniably correct. There is NO additional benefit within any dose greater than 2.5mg. The only difference is that you take increased risk of side effects such as salt loss. If your BP is not controlled on 2.5mg next the guidelines recommend an additional medication but from a different group such as ACE inhinbitor or calcium channel blocker - depends upon your age and other medical history.
