8 yr old arm fracture when can he play face football?

He broke both bones in his fore arm the big one displaced the small one fractured. After 4 weeks the xray shows transluscent image of therapeutic around the fractures but the cracks are still visible. The doctor say 6 to 8 weeks to heal but what he wont answer if the bone will be fully heal enough to play face football or should I wait for a time longer maybe 10 weeks or longer? Will the bone be a fragile spot prone to fracture again? Should he skip this season which is about to start Sept 1st ( the 8 week fault of healing)? My son lives for football but I wont risk long term wounded? If you have any experience beside this I would sure like some feedback? I enjoy been watching NFL breaks and they come fund in 8 weeks and clutch much larger hits.

I realize that your son "lives" for football but he is 8 yrs old...at hand is no way that the boy will be heal up and strong enough to play football by Sept 1. I suppose 12-16 wks to be back to hard by 100% is more realistic. Have him sit at smallest the first half of the season out if he can, if then the unbroken season. There is no reason to risk serious incapacitate at age 8 to play any sport.

Sprained ankle?

ask a doctor :]

Help! if you know anything about vicodin, or if you took it, come here!?

He's 8, he'll play football again, but if you rush him put money on too soon it'll never heal properly and afterwards when he'll really want to be playing football, say High School, he won't know how to. Remember, he's 8.

As for your NFL comparison, apples and oranges Football Dad. You're talking just about professional athletes with fail-safe muscle mass, professional trainers, etc. as compared to an 8 year old kid. Listen to the doctor and agree to it heal.

What cause muscle cramps? I'll be laying contained by bed and all of a sudden I'll attain a cramp in my calve or thigh.

when an arm breaks it does restore to health back stronger than past but yeah it could still be weakened .. That is purely life you enjoy to risk and take likelihood for things in return ask what he thinks Daddy nearly it being worth it to enjoy another severe break I believe you already know That you will let hime play lately want the assurance that he will be ok BUT SOR you wont get it after a couple weeks on the area you will calm down Because he's honest and Confident Like you right Right? He Will Be oK!

im having distress on my leg right above the toe but not on the toe...read details?

Keep junior on the sidelines this time, dad. He'll live to play more, and it'll increase his drive to play in the future. If his bones DON'T restore to health right or completely, then he is at risk of further and much worse injury down the road.
The bone in the health-giving process is absolutely a vague spot. It will be stronger once FULLY HEALED but that has to appear, first. Make sure after the allotted time (8 weeks) that you get another xray and ask the doctor
