All I know is the RICE formula. Rest, Ice, Elevation and Compression. That happen to me with my knees, I wasn't able to bend it again until I have surgery. A few weeks after the surgery I couldn't bend it again but that was wet build up and when the Dr. drained it I could bend it again. Does the Dr. say you involve surgery? Usually if it's a torn ligament you will need it. Good luck.
