2 days after ACL surgery. is this run of the mill?

its been 2 days after my ACL surgery and i'm contained by so much pain! spasm medicine isnt helping too much! is this commonplace?

Pain is normal but you should not be suffering. If the strain is more than you can comfortably stand and the pain meds are not helping nickname your DR. and ask for something stronger. was never contained by uncontrolable pain after my acl replacement. Try using abundantly of ice. That really help me!!

yes it is normal because everyone is different, some experience the worst backache, others don't feel a article. Ask your doctor and maybe he can high the dosage of your pills.good luck

What be the greatest physical pain you ever feel?

I hate to speak it but discomfort and pain is everyday following a surgery like that. If your headache killers aren't helping you should ring your doctor and see if there's something stronger he/she can prescribe for you. After having my meniscus repaired 2 years ago I be given Lortab for pain and at times I be still in closely of pain. Call your doctor for a spanking new prescription, use a lot of rime - nonstop, and hang up in at hand. It'll be a while, but you'll start to feel better! Good Luck. :-)

it is average to be in throbbing for at least a week and consequently it sorta lets up. if you are within that much pain next call your doctor and ask if you can double your torment meds... they usually go for it... mine did

Is it a hangover when you own a headache and you are throwing up the next morning?

Call your surgeon and notify him or her what is going on and that your pain medication they give you is not covering your pain. Pain more that 2 hours is not majority. Hope this helps, I am a Nurse.

That is normal. Everyone's strain tolerance is different. Every surgery is different also. For some of my knee surgeries I didn't necessitate any pain medication and for others I needed very strong medication (an IV pump to travel home with). Everyday will get for a time bit better for you. I wish you a speedy recouping.
