My mom had this done 2 years ago and have problems since then, (although I'm sure this doesn't apply to everyone). Four months ago her femur fractured and she have to have a full hip replacement. She is okay immediately though and pain free!

yes! I had my op within september 06. In January me g.p. told me most problems settle after 12 months - hence the 12 month check up - but my groin pain have got steadily worse espespially at dark. The clicking has get worse and walking up hill is a problem. I am probably within more discomfort now than i be before the op! I see the surgeon again in October. My physio think he will tell me it requirements re-doing, not a prospect i relish. I am 56.
