What type of bee gives the most tight sting?

I was stung today on the upper lip by what looked to any be a hornet or a yellow jacket, and, ow. That get me curious.

Also, do bumblebees sting?

A wasp! All bee stings are pretty painful but a wasp sting is a horrible experience. I was stung by 5 wasps once in the backbone and thought I was one stabbed by hot needles!

I suppose most bees sting, and the amount of pain probably depends on WHERE they sting you, not what description. I get stung on a regular spring at my job contained by a warehouse, and the best thing to neutralize the sting/relieve the throbbing is plain household ammonia. It's going to smell awful, but it works.
