How do I cwash my leg that have stiches?

Hi, Just had a plate removed surrounded by my leg a few days ago. I was really messed up contained by the hospital and forgot to ask him how to clean it and the organization is closed over the weekend. I know he said to change the bandage every day which I am doing but I necessitate a shower or bath!! When I have my first surgery he said not to take a hip bath just to sit within the bottom of the shower and let the sea run over me. DO you think to be precise ok for this surgery too? My first surgery I ahd the dissavolabe stiches where for this one I own the ones that are actually sticking out of my leg.

I own a horrible pain contained by my right shoulder...any suggestions on how to make it stop?

We commonly send patients home near sutures. Showering is fine as long as you dry them immediately after. Vaseline over the sutures help with scarring, lessen the crusty scabs and makes removal easier as all right. Vaseline is also water repellent and works as a block.

If they have already be in a few days they should be fine. Are they plastic opinion? I have not particular stitches to rot from being drizzly, not the ones I see anyway. Ours are always a plastic emotion stitch.

We do a lot of lesion removals from a plastic surgeon, sutures are disappeared in 7-10 days and pt's can clear up them after two days. Vaseline is always advise.

Larger surgeries nearly always enjoy staples now instead of sutures. We from time to time see sutures in planned surgeries where on earth there is a straight scalpel cut.

Dont sit contained by a bath as it let the water and germs and skin cell and everything else soak around the wound. Shower only.

Try wraping your leg while you are in the shower to keep it dry. Then afterwards verbs your leg with a facade washer. Just "pat " clean and dry it. Try not to take it soaking wet. Water can get germs taht can cause infections - adjectives depending o how strong you immune system is at the moment.

What's the best thing to do near sunburn?

You can put just a smear of Vaseline around the wound and next wrap it in cling picture, just pocket care not to bring it to wet.

I fell my body heat is hot, but when the room temperature is cold, i well get cold.?

Smoking is habit forming?

DON'T GET THESE ONE'S WET.

These stitches will rot after they enjoy gotten wet.
You can find a waterproof, transparent dressing call Opsite or Tegaderm from the chemist that can be placed over the stitches and then you can shower till your heart content.

If you don't wish to do this, you will any need a purse over your leg, taped fundamentally well over the top and avoid getting in essential the water or a really strong cling wrap tape up well too. But next to both of these you need to avoid getting them damp as they do tend to leak a bit.

Otherwise just hold a wash for the 5 to 7 days the stitches will be within, but that's not really practical.

Try the cling wrap or bag tonight and ring the Doctor in the morning to ask if it's OK by him if you put Tegaderm or Opsite over it to shower.

That's what we do in the hospital.
