Hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol?

I've been told that hydrogen peroxide, despite the fizzing that happen when poured on an open wound, it's truly not disinfecting it as well as rubbing alcohol would.

With anything approaching this I would make a judgement past its sell-by date the size of the wound, and where you are when the wound happen. I have spent a large amount of time in the African bush, and when something happen you are looking to take guardianship of it as fast as possible. Now, if you are in the comfort of your home and the cut is not too doomed to failure then yes, use some luke thaw water and some disinfectant soap. When H2O2 fizzes, what it is doing is eating the unconscious or nearly dead skin, it is also slaughter the infections there could be, but mostly the dead/damaged skin. Remeber H2O2 also comes in different strengths.
