Which works better for cleaning cuts?

Hydrogen peroxide or rubbing alcohol?

I've been told that hydrogen peroxide, despite the fizzing that happen when poured on an open wound, it's truly not disinfecting it as well as rubbing alcohol would.
Answer:

My toenail is black and purple after a year at basketball camp. What should I do?

Neither!

Hydrogen peroxide's "fizzing" dealing can actually drive ruins and microorganisms deeper into the wound and may also destroy nourishing tissue. In some rare instances, hydrogen peroxide can take into the bloodstream and cause serious problems.

Rubbing alcohol is not intended for nonintact skin. Yes, at hand are sources that say it will verbs, disinfect, and sterilize minor cuts and abrasions. It will, however, verbs tissue as well.

What do you do if you are cut, lacerate, abraded, punctured? See http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/... for drastically good instructions.

Why do you own to swallow 2 painkillers?

Rubbing alcohol is a very important wound cleanser, although it can kill your fit cells along next to the bacteria it is expected to, resulting in slower healing and more noticeable scars.

Another assistance to hydrogen peroxide is that it can fizz out things such as sand or dirt inside the wound when it is applied, as well as wipe out bacteria.

Addicted to Painkillers?

I hear on Oprah that you don't want to put anything into an open wound on your body that you wouldn't put contained by your eyes. The Dr. recommended saline solution for cuts...

Ok so last hours of darkness was putting my top and out it popped.?

according to Dr. Oz on Oprah (don't ask when or what show grounds I don't remember) the best thing is heat soapy water...after pat it dry
Peroxide is good, but can certainly do more harm to the nouns that is tattered...(my aunt is a nurse as well)

Can you answer this question?

With anything approaching this I would make a judgement past its sell-by date the size of the wound, and where you are when the wound happen. I have spent a large amount of time in the African bush, and when something happen you are looking to take guardianship of it as fast as possible. So surrounded by this case I would budge with Hydrogen Peroxide, it would be expeditious and as someone said earlier, it would verbs out most of the dirt in the wound. We also convey a skin balm in Africa that is made from crocodile lubricant.. It might sound strange but it is one of the most significant skin healers, it has something to do next to the amount of peptides that are in croc hefty.
Now, if you are in the comfort of your home and the cut is not too doomed to failure then yes, use some luke thaw water and some disinfectant soap. Once you enjoy cleaned it the put some of the balm on the cut. Carry on putting the balm on until the scar go away, it should only be 5-7 days using the balm.

The aim some people would use the alchohol or H2O2 would be if they didnt hold running water to be capable of clean the wound. This is when you could use the harsher alternatives, and yes, it could be off more scaring than mundane but it is better than dying from an infection.

When H2O2 fizzes, what it is doing is eating the unconscious or nearly dead skin, it is also slaughter the infections there could be, but mostly the dead/damaged skin. Remeber H2O2 also comes in different strengths.
