I've had a complicated situation where I hold had pain surrounded by my hands for 4years. My sleep was vastly scattered to the point I was wake up after 8hrs of sleep feeling like I have no sleep. My NCV/EMG were negative. I started wearing wrist splits and it made a huge difference. I started taking neurontin and it made a even bigger difference. I've see a neurologist, sleep doctor, and even when to a pain clinic to help. I get from terrible unfunctioning mornings to splints/neurontin and tolerable days. I finally saw a orthropod about 6wks. He 10-20% of EMG/NCV come up denial and said the next step is to do a cortisone shot to see if there is positive effect. He give me a shot in one hand, however, since my niggle is very under control next to the splints/meds it's hard to tell. Any thought why he only did one hand? Anyone hold similar symptons? I have an appt. tommorow with him and am trying to deem fo good Questions. Thanks all!
