Ok, well I'm going to be a sophomore (high school) and this past summer I be nominated to go to a medical forum and it was one of the most amazing things I've ever done. Like smaller quantity than 1% of high school students be nominated and I was psyched! Anyway, med students at UT Med in Houston told us that when they are looking for students to choose for the alien year they love to know that they've been interested for more than just a couple of years and of late decided they wanted to be a doctor or doesn`t matter what. I already did a medical forum this summer and got 3 certificates of completion along beside 2 scholarships available for undergrad colleges that are great colleges to go to right earlier med school. I'm also going to one next year that offer me college credit. So my question is, along with the summer forums I'm doing I want to volunteer at hospitals because they said it absolutely shows interest and proves you want to help people, and I do! I know that I can't a moment ago walk into a hospital and take effort of people. So my question is - merely what do you do when you volunteer at a hospital? I'm almost completely sure it wouldn't involve the patients because of HIPAA and just because I'm not a doctor lol. Also, who do I contact to make sure its okay that I can? If you work at a hospital/clinic that would be great to know from you. I want another process to prove I've been working hard for this and that I'm completely staunch to medicine. Thanks so much

I was hit by a car yesterday. I be running across a street and I didn't bother looking if a car was coming and I be hit. I sort of slid up the wind sheild and flew about 5 foot in the air and fell doing a tour. The driver was about 22 years elderly and after I landed on the road I immediatly get up and started running/limping. I don't know if I was full of adrenaline or what but I limped home and locked my self within my room. I'm pretty much 100% sure I broke my knee because I can move it or walk on it. I also can't be aware of it when I touch it. I also think I have a broken arm. I can't move it and it feel like a bone is out of place, its also a really hurtful purple. My face is also all cut up. I have an idea that I should get stitches because the cuts are really deep, and they bleed abundantly, but instead I put butterfly band-aids on them. Should I go to the Hospital? My brothers are really worried about me. How do I hair it. I don't have parents,they died,my 25yr old bro take care of me and my other brothers


Hospital Appointment tomorrow any info on procedure?
Have an apponitment tomorrow for vascular technician at nuclear medicine surrounded by X-Ray Dept. The nureologist told me last week it be to check activity of brain and electrolytes, have a subdural haematoma 2 years ago. I have have CT scans and MRI scan formerly only don't know what this is going to be approaching, so will my hair hold to be cut in places or will anything they put on my head be sticky I'm not worried with the sole purpose just want to know what to expect earlier I go as I didn't conjecture at the time to ask so any help would be grateful Thanks


Hospital bill from emergency room visit?
what happens if you don't money a hospital emergency room bill? does it effect your credit? when i first got my contacts i have a contact get stuck surrounded by the back corner of my eye. it be a sunday night and the following monday be a holiday so my regular eye doctor was close until tuesday. and i know you're not supposed to underneath any circumstances sleep with your contacts surrounded by, so i went to the hospital, solely place that was uncap. sometime while i was waiting in the waiting room apparently the contact slipped into place but i didn't know as my eye be extremely irritated from spending 6+ hours trying to remove it. when i finally was call back adjectives they had to do be take it out. they be pretty friendly. now a coule weeks subsequently i get a 170 dollar bill contained by the mail., i hold to say this seem rather excessive.


Hospital bill?
I got admit to the ER in the evening and be released at midnight. My charges are for the 5th and the 6th which puts me as an inpatient since it was regard as overnight. Do hospitals bill just bill for the entire year regardless of when you are released? The doctor that discharged me is only billing me for the 5th so I am terribly confused and unsure what to do.


Hospital bills for ER. Astronomical!?
I went to the emergency room during Thanksgiving because I get really sick with nausea and vomiting. I go to a hospital nearby my family's house. I go in and wait for 3 hours in the waiting room. They drew my blood to do standard lab trialling. I was put into a room and given an IV beside anti-nausea. I was after left surrounded by there for almost 4 hours and not a soul came surrounded by to see how I was doing. In certainty, the bag quit putting the fluid surrounded by and just sit there. I be trying to call for a nurse walking and I get ignored. I can't really turn out there and catch someone with an IV within my arm. Finally the Dr. comes in and asks how the ultrasound go when I never had one. He seem confused and said, They never came to dispense you the ultrasound? No. As I'm talking to him, I'm taking my IV out of my arm on my own. While he's standing within talking to me. He doesn't even bother to abet. So, I went out to the largest area and checked out .
