I'm from Fort Myers, FL and I hold Muscular Dystrophy. How can I bring each day home nursing attention after I turn 21?
I am currently 20. I have Medicaid, specifically Medipass. I live a fairly independent vivacity, except for having daily nurses to relieve with my needs. I own a trach and feeding tube, so by law, I'm required to own nursing. I've been told that Medicaid will not provide "skilled" nursing after 21. They have a waiver for developmentally challenge adults, but not for people like me. A nursing home would be calling it quits for a infantile man like me. Please give me some assistance or direction. All the individuals I contact redirect me to other contacts. Only one person from DCF answered me directly, maxim it is impossible to get what I need. That is not an proper answer. Please help.

Is there a site I can landscape the questions on a nursing home exam, dad's threating to "put me away" I dont want
to go, and singular because I have epilepsy. He sais he's gonna hold it in his will or something that I turn there if something happen to him. I'm 42 yrs. old, I'm unqualified to be put away. He also said he's going to tell them that I'm imcompadent (or however you spell it). I've have a rough week, I lost a friend (I called her my little buddy),couple weeks ago, and in a minute this. If he gets his f-----g method, they will have any a walk-a-way or a suicide on thier hands because I'm not spending years in "a black hole". Please make out, that was NOT a national remark or nothing to do next to race/skin color. Good way to construct a person depressed, and my meds. for seziures slows you down, not a accurate combo.

Is there anybody who is a Certified Nursing Assistant?
I am taking the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course at my local tech school and I be wondering if anybody is a CNA? I was wanting to know what considerate of job responsibilites you would hold, what they get compensated on average and if a hospital you would work for would pay for tuition to return with an Associates in Nursing (RN). I know this is an unusual interview, but I thought I would ask.

Is working at a nursing home (or anywhere), as a CNA, as bad everyone say it is??
I just started the CNA class, hoping it will pass me a better chance at getting in a nursing program soon. I also would close to to work as a CNA while i go to conservatory. Is there anyone who have experience working as a CNA? I love going to the nursing home & visiting next to the residents, so working with elderly nation isn't an issue with me. I'm freshly wondering if the job is a doomed to failure as everyone makes it out to be.. And also, are CNA's treated inadequately by "superior" people? Thank you surrounded by advance for you support!

My Mom had be in a nursing home but is in the hospital now-the place neglected her?
She had be sick this whole week and my sister have been in that every day. They told my sister that her blood work suggested she have an infection of some sort and they did an x-ray (said it was clear). This be Wed. a.m. and the doctor there prescribed antibiotics. They be never given to her! This morning two of my sisters called an ambulance and presently she is thankfully surrounded by the hospital but she has pneumonia, a severe bladder infection (her urine looke like coffee!) and her blood was channel too thin. She may not product it and I can deal next to this since she is in poor health and 82, but i.e. rediculous that they hadn't given her any antibiotics as prescribed and hadn't even checked her urine! We aren't ones to sue but something should be done, shouldn't it? Advice?
